As much as I understand the ban, I do feel sorry for her. The second tweet wasn't really needed but she's handled the situation quite well.

I'm sure IIDY would have been banned too if we were in 2010.
And even if it didn't the song is about leaving a good memory of yourself in this world in case you die young. While the other one is a party song that comes off as insensitive as a clown at a funeral.

She didn't do anything wrong. The song came out months ago, and dying young is a common motif in music. It's just really unfortunate that it happened to be on the charts at the same time as this tragedy. That said, I can see why some radio stations wouldn't want to play it, and why she would want to issue an apology.
The line about being forced, though...she has such little artistic control that her lead single was a song that she openly objected to singing?

I totally understand why it would be pulled, but a song that should be seeing most of this backlash is "Pumped up Kicks". Spotify randomly went to the song and the song is hard to listen to, chilling actually. Lyrics consisting of "better outrun my bullet" are just really hard to listen to considering the recent events. But like I said, I do understand why DY is being pulled but the lyrics don't harbor any correlation between murder or suicide, unlike the latter.

If I Die Young is dated.
At the end of the day, Die Young got pulled, and it was completely, 100% called for.
Stop being so damn delusional, and accept the fact that its inappropriate to the situataion that we're dealing with.
I'm pretty sure if "If I Die Young" was released around this time, it would have been pulled too.
Stop trying to make it look like people are targeting Ke$ha.
Because they're not.

Props to her for being upfront and admitting that she is forced to do what her label tells her to. Mad props.

I definitely respect her for acknowledging the tragedy of the shooting. The second tweet may have been a bit too much for her career's sake.

Looks like Ke$ha's Teenage Dream era is just beginning. The chart smash known as
"Die Young." And now the effortless controversy. The REVOLU$HUN continues.
...Vin
