The most recent classic album is Adele's 21. A classic album doesn't need to be "progressive" or whatever gtfo. If it is actually remembered by the GP and generally regarded to be a superior example of its genre, it can be considered a classic. But if all it did was peak at #1 or win a Grammy, that doesn't mean ****.

Thriller, Bad, Born In The U.S.A., Purple Rain, many 20th century Madonna, Whitney, and Mariah albums... like, are you guys getting paid to say Blackout or TFM cuz if not

Whether these two are classics or not is arguable (imo they're not but you already know that), that wasn't my point. MBDTF - Kanye
Teenage Dream - Katy
GKMC - Kendrick

There really aren't any other "classics" that will have lasting impact

Really most of our contemporary pop stars don't have any classic albums, simply because they've not been around long enough for their (recent) music to be properly canonized.

Although aside from Beyoncé, 21, Emotion, and FutureSex/LoveSounds, I'm struggling to think of any albums from any major pop stars of the last ten years that seem like even remote contenders for future classic status. I suppose Born to Die could go down as a sort of forced classic, though it wouldn't really deserve it.

Fearless has become a modern country-pop classic and most people agreed with this. Same with 1989. Even me myself, an Asian acknowledge this already. Anyway, it's understandable since you hate Taylor so much so I'm not surprise at all if you try to discredit her. Just look at your history on ATRL

If you're going to be that selective, putting Teenage Dream with those albums is actually offensive.

I do think Teenage Dream is a modern pop classic just because of how successful its singles were, but that's being a lot more inclusive than you are being.
