Rotten Tomatoes usually disagrees with popular opinion, so I'm not surprised at all. Some of my favorite movies have such low scores.

Just watched the movie, and it was good.

The book was better, and I felt like the movie dragged on in some parts but it was good overall.

Happy that the second book is greenlit

It's up to 40% now.

The more I read about it, the more I want to read the books. But I would still be sceptical about seeing the film.

Also there are rumours that Lionsgate paid critics to write positive reviews, because they've invested so much money into this film and they don't want it to flop.

Just saw it and it was awesome. I thought I was going to hate it from the trailer. It was really good though. My only issue with it was that it was really reminiscent of the hunger games haha

I don't understand where you guys are getting these hunger games comparisons from, except that they are both Dystopian and have a strong Female lead. When I read the book I didn't draw up any THG comparisons until people online started to.

Well this was the 1st one I fall asleep during the beginning.

I went see the movie Saturday afternoon with my little sisters and I enjoyed it thoroughly. It didn't deserve the harsh critical reception that the movie critics gave it. Because of Rotten Tomatoes, I went in expecting the movie to be trash, but that turned out not to be the case.

I watched this last week and it was okay. The music is awesome. I don't think they were able to explain or show more about the function of each faction more thoroughly. But the whole set-up seems like a scene out of high school: Abnegation-the popular kids, Erudite-the nerds, Candor-the class clowns, Amity-the regular kids and Dauntless-the jocks. And here you have Kate Winslet as the Sharpay who is out to get everyone who doesn't fit in the status quo.

I'm still not a big fan of Shailene though and seeing her with her brother seems a bit awkward knowing that in a few months we'll see her in a romantic relationship with him.

I might watch this movie again since I just won free movie passes

Going to watch it This Weekend. If i like it, i might read the books. I've been recommended to read them on more than one occasion. I'll be back with my opinion after i see it.
