I think Demi's a good fit. She's a mid-tier celebrity with a moderately sized (and very dedicated) fanbase. She's got some pull with a younger demographic, and that's going to be crucial. With Demi and Britney on board, X Factor might be able to find an audience.

It's not that people think she's shady, it's the fact that she hasn't been in this business long enough with a very successful career. She's successful, but hasn't done great numbers. I think it should have been someone else. No shade. I have this girls album.

What did you guys expect? Britney and insert superstar performer? You can't expect two A-listers to willingly share the spotlight. And you have to take money into consideration. Hmmm as.bizarre as this is im kinda here for it. Demi will do good. Is a good balance between their ages/Stan bases.
Britney will attract ppl just cuz who she is and people will like to see how's she doing, we all know her fanbase is massive and ppl from all ages love her.
Demi on the other hand will attract tweens/young girls to the show.
As weird as it looks like, Simon is being really smart. He's thinking business.
