Love, Love this song, I actually had a last minute score change. Here I am was actually supposed to be the lead single to Still Standing, but got scrapped for Everything to Me. Then, it was supposed to become the second single with Jamie Foxx featured on it, but then that got scrapped for Love All Over Me. In my opinion, I kinda wanted an uptempo as one of the singles. Because the solo version charted, I added it to the rate oppose to the remix.
Monica really had high hopes for the song. "This was the best way to satisfy my fans of 15 years and the new fans that I hope to gain.” Instead of using Jamie Foxx as the feature, the label decided on using Trey Songz.

Without is dedicated to her husband, Shannon Brown. The final single from New Life, it didn't even get bothered to be picked up for a music video because New Life was already down the drain, and Without You didn't make it any better. Too formulaic for me, KAK likes Brandy's version better.
Fun fact : About 10 years ago, a Greek hip hop group literally stole the melody of Monica's parts and most of the instrumental, pasted some Greek lyrics on it and it became their breakthrough hit. GLOBAL impact. Found it!
