That's similar to what we have. We only have the even period days on wednesday and odds on thursday and theyre an hour and a half.

@GagaFan I had a really good conversation with a Harvard alum today. She told me that even though Harvard has a preconceived image of utter total exemplary academic excellence, they care about other stuff as well. Even though they want high academic performance (do not have to be perfect). She said during the admission process they have two piles, students with perfect grades and students who might not have such perfect grades but make a great impact). They really look at the impact you make in the world and want to see that students are passionate and/or well rounded.

Exactly. I know this, this is why I have focused a lot on doing well in my extra curriculars along with having good grades. Soo I hope it will pay off. I hope a lot.

Horace Mann is a GREAT school. One of the highest ranked private school in the country.

my public school district was absolute ****...teachers would go on strike, then immediately go into classes to teach at the sound of the bell. Three were caught high in class and one had a nervous breakdown in front of everyone. Once in 7th grade my science teacher was high and started blasting 50 cent wearing a sombrero and began screaming i love viagra. She's since been in rehab (real talk though...i'm dead ass )

My private high school had a good rep when i went to it...and it still has a decent rep but it has since fallen considerably. Just last week a friend who went there in my grade (her sister still goes) said that five kids got caught having sex in the middle of the chemistry lab by a teacher. Nude pictures were the norm and my alcoholic 11th grade Chem teacher actually told a 9th grader whose nudes leaked that she shouldn't be posing nude with that little to flaunt

it's the **** like that that makes me wanna go back

I went to a honors program in Middle school (The Delta Honors Program) and all of the kids in the Honors program were put in a program since 6th grade for admission into Horace Mann.

Most kids ended up in Specialized high schools or top high schools or private schools

the worst part is is that I went to school on Long Island...these are Long Island school districts the high school I went to was in Brookville which is a rich area (that's the best part )

I know so many city people because a lot of my local friends went there...and it was through them that I met everyone else (i used to hit the city like 10 times a month )

But seriously! in my defense! I missed half of grade 10, and I only did 2 months of grade 11... So In my final year I have no background information for anything! Math, Bio, Chem, NOTHING. It seriously sucks, I'm working my ass off and discovering **** I've never even heard of!
