It sold 1.8 million in the States, not 2 million, 360k* in Sweden (not 480k), It's certified for 180k in Italy (not 300k), and sales in France are at 400k tops (371k a few years back).
Shakira stans.

Sorry, this is IMPOSSIBLE. People in Latin America doesn't buy singles. The most "advanced" country in that is Mexico and the song sold 150k in there and Paraguay is a really really small country.
I just opened the thread from UkMix someone posted and it doesn't say anything about sales, it only says that the song sold 60k BACKTONES

And Shakira's had some pretty massive hits in spanish speaking realms with her sale el sol album. britneys biggest feat this decade was femme fatale which nabbed her some serious u.s. radio/top40 cred again, but her sales werent massive or anything and the accompanying tour was okay. her vegas residency is impressive but her relevance scale is only so so.
i lean towards shakira because shes global, britney is always relevant but she flails about. and im really not sure how relevant she is if at all outside of the u.s. if any of her fans care to enlighten me go ahead, I really dont know.

Britney has always been bigger worldwide than in the US. She is an international icon for everything the US stands for, speaking as a person from a different country.
Her album sales reflect this. With newest updates:
Femme Fatale = 870k US; 1.1 million WW = 1.9 million
Britney Jean = 250k US; 400k WW = 650k

Receipts
Sis, Sale El Sol only sold 2.3M. It sold 300k in the U.S. and has 1.5M from certifications from every major country (see: Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Chile, Colombia, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Mexico, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and Venezuela). The only major countries it is missing are the U.K. and Japan and I don't see that it charted there. I don't see where the extra 700k could come from.
"Scream & Shout" sold 3.64M in the U.S., 750k in Germany, 860k in the U.K., 600k in Canada, 450k in Australia, 230k in France, etc. That's 6.53M from 6 countries and it has another 510k in certifications, which would push it to 7.04M. It topped out at 8M WW.
"Waka Waka" sold 1.8M in the U.S., 400k in the U.K., 400k in France, 750k in Germany, 300k in India, 360k in Sweden, 240k in Spain, 120k in Mexico, 180k in Italy. Its other certifications add up to 290k. That's almost 5M single sales. I can't see it selling much more than 6.5M WW.
"Loca" didn't sell more than 3M WW. "Till the World Ends" sold 2.9M in the U.S. not counting over 200k in mobile sales. TTWE sold much more globally than "Loca."
And how did CRTFY sell over WB? "Work Bitch" has sold 1M in the U.S. (CRTFY did 650k here) and their other sales are rather similar. They sold about the same amount.
Britney moved more albums and singles, sis.

I believe I came with receipts.

These are newspaper receipts again. One said they were aiming to hit 100k before the end of the World Cup (had already hit 80k) in Portugal and the other says they hit 300k throughout the run of the World Cupin India. I don't get where the extra 900k comes from in India.
