so I'm halfway through & I do like it BUT the intro/outro situation is horrible & cringe-worthy.
but apart from that, this is actually a really nice album so far. reminds me a lot of The Declaration (I don't know if that's a good or a bad thing)
nothing's really innovative & it sounds like it could have been released 5 years ago and sound the same. a little outdated to me probably just the rnb-vibe that just doesn't sound fresh to me anymore.
but I always liked Shanti so I'll probably listen to this a few more times & still enjoy it.

Ashanti really delivered i must say..

Heard it in its entirety 3 times now and its DOPE!! She has grown dramatically and thats what makes this album so good!

Definitely a solid R&B album and i think its her best..

That's the thing: the album might be ok, but I'm not here to pass thru 14 tracks of an OK album. Shany IS much better than what she's bringing up this time.

And I can easily hear the similarity between this and The Declaration: the dramatic Intro/Outro, the ballads, the pop-ish productions... The Declaration was close to being average, if it wasn't for the really consistent first half (The Things You Make Do is one of her best bops ever) + Good Good.

Anyway, this is not a disaster. Chapter II will always be her worst album. The fact that it starts with TWO intros back to back is unbelievably annoying.
