In Japan, Oricon doesn't count digital downloads yet and "Flavor Of Life" has had over 3.4 million downloads, which is more than any single in America. ;p

digital downloads do count that's how Beyonce and Shakira debuted straight to number 7 when their single Beautiful Liar was released on i-tunes worldwide

Do downloads not count for much then? I know that 650,000 physicals sales and 3.5 million downloads has to be better than Top 60. lol, although radio airplay will factor a lot, since it's just from one country. = /

Their source for Japan is Oricon.
When Oricon counts digital downloads, this top 40 will be totally different then.

Exactly. Since airplay is 50% of the count and not 1/3, then it would reduce "Flavor Of Life's" points. Also, Oricon DOESN'T count digital downloads...
Ohh the world is unfair.
