All the other reviews and journalists on twitter praised Gaga so its fine. This is the review that came out before the premiere, the way they singled out Gaga is attention seeking as ****.
And Metacritic using that quote Of course, Lady Gaga is the biggest draw, all the monsters and haters will flock and give the website traffic.
My friends have given up on AHS after the last half of Coven and Freakshow I gave up on FS too but they aren't hyped for this season like I am. I have to watch alone or with my parents when I go home this weekend
The critics are either going to destroy Gaga or praise her to the heavens. Perched
Most are going to be sitting around waiting to see public perception, I think, or what a major critic says. They are absolutely going to function like sheep with her performance overall

Are these the same reviewers that called FS the best season
Mess at that score of the review with the Gaga shade translating into a 75 on Metacritic. The reviewer has dragged ArtRave, Cheek to Cheek and other Gaga projects before so it was nice on their part to not let their obvious Gaga bias affect the review for the entire show.
Well some critics are going to give a negative review because when people don't like Lady Gaga they're incredibly vocal about it. Some people just refuse to give her crediblity. Especially if its someone that hates her because they like Madonna or Katy or whatever pop star. Like all too often I see credible reviews submitted by people who clearly stan for Katy Perry or Madonna and thus it makes sense why they're so harsh on Lady Gaga. They want to perpetuate negativity.
Sometimes the criticism is warranted and sometimes its just bias b/s. And theres literally no way of being able to avoid that. Which is why im not going to really bother with peoples reactions to her acting on this show and just judge for myself. Because when it comes to Gaga I already know people tend to do the most.
This season of American Horror Story, AHS Hotel, features an all-star cast including the infamous Lady Gaga. Lady Gaga is haunting and brilliant in her role as Countess Elizabeth, who is twisted and blood thirsty.

Let's be real, Gaga is a huge star (whether people like it or not) so of course reviewers are going to pinpoint everything Gaga does in the show both positive and negative, more so than other actors. There are going to be people that enjoy her in the show and others who hate her, that's unfortunately the way it goes.
...Lady Gaga, effectively stepping in for Jessica Lange, has gotten most of the early publicity for her extended acting debut. After an hour, it remains to be seen how Gaga will handle extended dialogue or emotional volatility, but she's initially just being asked to embody a visual conceit, which she does convincingly. She struts in high fashion with confidence, she does near-nudity without self-consciousness and she has a feral resemblance to Nosferatu star Max Schreck, which might seem accidental except that several characters attend a cemetery screening of the F.W. Murnau classic...
I hope the further on we go into the season, Gaga gets some lines. Or maybe not depending on how good or bad her acting is. By the sounds of things, in the premiere she's just a visual arc.
