And I'm also surprised at how much I love this considering there's no real dance tracks. IMO, the material is strong enough on its own even without having the uber catchy hooks. I see it as a similar situation to Kelly Clarkson's "My December"/Pink's "Try This" and Christina Aguilera's "Stripped" where the album may not have been as catchy or instant as their previous sets but the quality still made it a solid album.
But most people arent gonna listen to the album before they buy it. If Rihanna releases the right songs as singles, people will buy the album based on the singles and the fact that its Rihanna
