I KNOW, BLEEEEEHHH. During the last episode, I really wanted everyone in the room to die....the suspense was ridiculous, but I knew that Light couldn't win...even though I wanted him to. It would have been interesting if Light had won, though. It definitely would've been unexpected. And Near could never be better than L. Not even with Mello. NEVER.

It was created to stop Uchiha from abusing it's counterpart, Izanagi. Izanagi essentially allows the user to re-do something differently than they had originally did it in order to get the result they desire. Izanami however, sticks them into an endless loop until they accept what they have done and move on.

I've finished Code Geass. Just... epic!
however, as I expected my favorite characters always die. Lelouch..Rollo I can't wait for what's premiering this August. Even though it doesn't involve Lelouch, I'm sure it'll be great. Hopefully there'll be an R3 someday, because I think Lelouch could be alive

That is probably the simplest explanation there is for it. Kishimoto really threw us for a loop.

And I agree. Kubo wanted to saved all the Soul Reapers until the end so he and murder them all. Not here for that.
