Beyoncé is not a major pop girl or whatever. She's the greatest pop artist of the 21st Century so far.
She doesnt even need to sells billions of singles. She's incredibly talent.

The critics better stan.

The song was penned by Sia, the go-to girl for pop divas who want to show their emo side (see: Rihanna “Diamonds,” Celine Dion “Loved Me Back To Life,” Christina Aguilera “Blank Page.”) But unlike those other vocalists, Beyonce doesn’t just re-sing a Sia demo

By a pop girl, yes. Let's see where it settles though. But either way, she has simply outdone herself.

I hope it stays in the 80's, because this album deserves it.

Beyoncé 'worthy heir of MJ'
Quote:
Since Michael Jackson died, many have wondered who, if anyone, could be his successor. Justin Timberlake is frequently mentioned. Justin Bieber also has declared aspirations to follow in the King of Pop's footsteps.
But we've been looking at the wrong gender. The leading candidate, it turns out, is Beyoncé Knowles, as evident by her ambitious new "visual album," "Beyoncé."
The album was released as a surprise around 11 p.m. Central Time on Thursday, exclusively through iTunes. But beyond the novelty of offering up 14 new songs out of the blue, "Beyoncé" also includes 17 complementary music videos.
This summer, Beyoncé's husband, Jay Z, pulled off a similar kind of surprise, announcing an album just three weeks before it was released (at first, strictly for Samsung Galaxy smartphone users). Ultimately, "Magna Carta ... Holy Grail," was little more than a lazily constructed hip-hop album tied to a high-concept marketing stunt.
"Beyoncé" will also be remembered for its unusual distribution technique, but particularly with the visual components, it should also be remembered as her masterwork.
"Pretty Hurts" is a glistening pop proclamation of empowerment, shattering the unfair emphasis that beauty is a requirement for female self-worth. Heard with the music video, a look at the ugliness of beauty pageants, it's painful and poignant. And in her first album since giving birth to daughter Blue Ivy (who appears in a touching tribute, "Blue"), Beyoncé aspires to be more sexual than ever before, practically becoming the female R. Kelly on "Partition."
No doubt critics will call her a hypocrite; she slams society for promoting unattainable physical standards for women while flaunting herself as the embodiment of unattainable physical beauty.
But not since music video King Jackson has an artist embedded an album with such a strong visual sensibility. There are images on "Beyoncé" that will be associated with the artist for decades to come.
More than its sudden release, that may be the album's biggest and best surprise of all. (source)

"The best surprise of all, in an autumn in which Beyoncé's closest competitors – Gaga, Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus – made underperforming bids for the throne, is how thoroughly assured, immersive and substantial this album is."

I hope some critic who counts for metacritic gives a perfect score. So far she has two 5/5 and none count.
