I agree, but Middle Eastern representation?
There are many Arabs and Jews in Hollywood because they're white so they can get mainstream roles. There's even a Turkish man who has his own talk show called Dr. Oz. The only issue Hollywood has with Middle Eastern people is their terrible habit of casting South Asians in Middle Eastern roles. Practically every Middle Eastern role on TV is played by an Indian even though they don't look the part at all (see Lost, Community, etc).
Latinos have it bad, but Asians have it the worst. No one expects there to be Asian lead actors, but Asians don't even get roles. People use the small percentage of Asians in the US to defend lack of media representation, but there's an even smaller percentage of gay people and British people in the US and somehow they're more much visible in Hollywood than Asians are. In fact, when there are opportunities to cast Asian actors, they don't like in 21 where the Chinese characters were changed to white ones and in The Lovely Bones were the Indian boyfriend was played by a black actor.
