Hmm. Gaga blew up later than Katy, technically, but I'd agree that Meghan is the biggest pure pop debut since sometime around 2008-2009. I'd argue that Kesha was on par with her, with YLIMD roughly corresponding to LIM (so far) adn the opening weeks being similar and at similar times.
