^ I don't think they could see it coming, but it was probably a bit (dare I say) irresponsible to sacrifice everything for The Voice, and hoping her personality and media hype alone + 1 performance in the finals would make the music sell. It didn't work however, and she was left with a strict schedule with little to no room for other album promo.
That's just my opinion, of course there could be other reasons. The fault is certainly NOT in the music, though.
