Katy is the Digital Queen. She has consistency that doesn't relied on quantity (or quality, no shade, I've said this before). A more interesting debate would be Taylor vs. Katy as both have the U.S. under a spell.
Gaga's digital success is not bad either. It isn't like she is trailing three stories behind Katy. For someone whose last era allegedly demolished her brand, this isn't bad compared to someone more favorable to the eyes of the public.
Anyway, good for them both. None of this surprises me.
Katy's tour VS BTWB
Tour gross world
60 mil gross with 130 dates vs 185 mil gross with 99 dates :classy:
Average tour gross ratio:
ratio: 4,0
Anyways, it's clear who the true winner is: Gaga.
After all, albums cost about 7x more than a single, and the 4 million difference in album sales alone would be about 40 million more money made
and how exactly WW tour receipts relevant to US record sales?
your thirst to justify this:
You're really delusional if you think that. Those IFPI numbers are not accurate.
California Gurls was #1 WW song in 2010 + it peaked at #1 in +10 countries and same goes with Firework. Firework sold 7.5 from U.S + UK only and it's still charting in over 60 countries on Itunes, more than any Gaga song.
Don't tell me you used media traffic for your receipts.
