If that Maryland Gov O'Malley wins Iowa in the primary all of the Democats will abandon Hillary and run to support him. Hillary would bewise to set up shop in Iowa and schmooze the voters...if not, it will be 2008 for her all over again.

Rand Paul is the candidate of the GOP that the Dems fear the most...he attracts young and independent voters. The Democrats are going to demonize Paul for everything he is worth.

You don't know that...sure the establishment will most likely push for Jeb Bush to be the nominee, but young voters like Paul. A Bush/Paul ticket would be formidable.

Your original statement shows that you know what Paul brings to the table eats at the Democrats. They know that if the GOP becomes more "Paul" like their electoral college advantage would be neutralized.

Paul won't make it past the primaries, which is what matters most for him. He's not campaigning to ban marijuana and gay marriage and he's not constantly blathering on about religion, so the fundies (who are the base who actually vote in the primaries) won't vote for him.

Plus, those "young and independent" voters are going to flee as soon as they realize that he opposes federal child labor laws and supports segregation.
