No, at a low point in my life, with drugs, alcohol and far too much partying, I ended up at a sauna and was so intoxicated that I slept with someone - without a condom. It was my choice, and one that I could have avoided if I were sober.
Edit: I then stopped partying, taking drugs btw.
When I got the result, I blamed myself for several years, until I got a dog, and she became my best friend. She helped me love again. Unfortunately four weeks ago, she died in a fire at my house (I wasn't indoors, don't ask how it started, wasn't my fault). Sadie, died as peacefully as she could but I made a vow when I buried her that my life would change, in respect of the life she gave me - one that I thought was useless. I then stopped crying, and stopped hating myself for the sake of one mistake.
I'm currently rebuilding my life having accepted the circumstances and tragedies that made me the man I am today. I am happy, and I survived. Ready to start my life again and not let this take over my life.
My story. Thanks for reading (Sorry if this is corny
