Capitol reported 5.5 shipments before the re-release. The album was around 4.8-4.9m at that time and the re-release has sold 500-600k (including this week)

I don't believe Mediatraffic, I use estimations for each country. And there are a lot I don't know so it should be higher than that

but it's the closest thing to reliable sales aside from music charts.

counting individual country sales never works because some of those may be shipped copies.

So, Mediatraffic > Official Numbers from each country?

Mediatraffic has it at 5.1m and MusicCharts at 5.4m anyway.

mediatraffic counts the SOLD SALES.

each country works different. some of those "sales" might be actual shipments. it's not like if we have a Soundscan in every country in the world.

and i need a SOURCE for the Mediatraffic and MusicChart sales.

Once an album leaves the Top 40 MT doesnt count its sales unless it returns there! TD was off on MT charts but we all know it was selling 10-15k per week in the US alone! I dont really trust MT on sales! It's just a chart that shows the popularity and the longevity of an album/single
