I'll trust Beyonce's writing awards. And the people who worked with her.
Yes, because all award academies are reputable and run checks on credentials, and the people that worked with her aren't biased at all after making money off of her and signing non-disclosure agreements
Just noticed Bey is featured along with Paul McCartney on ASCAPS site: http://www.ascap.com/
Among the greats
Of course she is. I mean, she is the FIRST black woman and second woman overall to ever win ASCAPS' Songwriter Of The Year Award.
Also Beyonce was number 17 on Billboard's "Top 20 Hot 100 Songwriters", for having co-written eight singles that hit number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. She was one of only three women on that list.

Ding Ding Ding. Clearly these people don't have non-disclosure agreements that they are required to sign in order to work with her in the first place. Clearly they don't care about their livelihood and the damage it could potentially bring to their career if they were to speak out against someone that does have Beyonce's standing and following in the industry.
Songwriting credits contain multiple aspects that the various members of The Hive have been angrily typing away and reminding me of thus far. I'd just like to know how the critically acclaimed singer, songwriter, actress, director, choreographer, stage director, editor, feminist, and philanthropist that is Beyonce would feel the need to take a sole songwriting credit for a Christmas classic. That's all. It's very vague and shady.
No one has said that Beyoncé wrote Silent Night alone. Please show us where we said that. She added vocal arrangements and got credits for that. Mariah Carey did the same.
She answered question on something she has no idea about.
It was the interviewer that used Beyonce's name, Miss Perry simply agreed with the format of the question presented. She didn't have to prelude the answer with "I don't know how Beyonce works, but" in order for her response to be a valid one.

This is the part where you look slow and like less of a fan. You choose to believe the negative and choose not to believe the positive. Why is that?
This is like person #1038474639 who has something to say about Bey her songwriting. I used to think they were just speculating but where there is smoke, there's fire. That is all.
It's not a rumor though. She got songwriting credit for changing one word in this song from the Jon McLaughlin version:
This interviewer knew damn well what they were trying to stir up, but in any case, this is NOT some kind of far fetched rumor. It actually has happened and it she gave a valid response to this situation.
She's listed last here for a reason. She added runs and adlibs, etc.
Should she not get credit for that? You're focusing on the wrong thing.
The fact that she got credit shouldn't cause alarm.
If she got sole credit or got primary credit, that be a different story.
Not one that we know of.
However, she does write many songs that we will never get to hear.
Anyways, what's so wrong with collaboration?
The more writers the least input she has on her songs, most of her songs are written with 5 or 6 other writers which reduces her input to a few words. She clearly can't write a song on her own and that says it all.
