40-41 in its 77th week on the Hot 100 . It has peaked at #17. Its unusual longevity is due to rock and alternative-only airplay during its initial run (in conjunction with TV adverts and other sporadic promo).
As of this posting,
"Sail" has sold over 4.8 million copies since its release in January 2011 .

It's usually harder for crossover hits to reach #1 due to the fact that the song usually loses a bit of airplay from its home format.
Before He Cheats, for example, had completely been done on country when it crossed over to pop. If it was a smash on both formats simultaneously, a #1 probably would have been reachable.

Ihave a feeling they will be invited to perform this at this year's Billboard music awards. I don't think it's been performed live in a major show before.

It's #11 in Amazon, #67 in ITunes but it is its streaming that is keeping it in the chart.

Though for 99% of the general public, the record is at best something that might pop up on a trivia question thing. The most my friends might know on a general basis is what the current top song on iTunes is cuz they all be on their Apple products so often.

The fact that it only peaked at #17
