I'm disappointed. It's not a bad album, but it sounds like it's going to be their weakest. Gwen's vocals have never sounded worse.
"One More Summer" is not anywhere as instant as "Hollaback Girl." WTF is Gwen thinking?

sounds like The Sweet Escape pt 2. I'm not here for this.
I wanted No doubt back at it's roots, not something in b/w Rock Steady and Gwen's solo work.

It seems more like Return of Saturn mixed with Cool to me. But I'm just so surprised at how many midtempo tracks there are.

Some of comments in here sound so predictable. I strongly disagree about Gwen's vocals sounding worse than ever. And this sounds nothing like The Sweet Escape. Actually, this doesn't sound like typical No Doubt album at all (except for Settle Down and Push And Shove mostly). But it doesn't sound like typical solo Gwen either.
The vibe of album has 80's written all over it, and it's laid-back-mellow. Totally untypical for traditional No Doubt sound. And that's what confused me at first. But I'm getting used to it.
Those who prefer rockier, darker, edgier No Doubt sound will be disappointed, that's for sure. But just because they're doing something different and poppier, doesn't automatically mean it's bad and wrong. This is going to be a beautiful record, yeah it's very pop, but quality pop done with style, and you don't get to hear that pop on radio these days.
I won't have meltdowns around like a whiny little bitch. One fan wants rock, the other one wants more ska, then another one more solo Gwen. Go listen to their old work if that's the case. They can't please everyone. I'm just thankful that we're getting another record.

Im gonna wait to judge when we get the full songs but I feel like towards the end of the album things start to mesh..
So far from what I hear best song on the album remains "push and shove"

I was skeptical on this album after hearing the first two singles. I LOVE them both but was weary pn what the rest would sound like
but these clips are BLOWING ME AWAY!!!! I just got SUPER stoked for the album again!
UNDONE is beautifuuuuul.

MTE. It sounds like a Reggae, Electronic, 80's pop rock fusion with light alternative influences. There are still some tracks that still sound like the older them like Sparkle. There are still many 90's alternative harmonies and influence in the songs(especially Gravity, Undercover, Undone and Sparkle). I think it's the electronic/mid-tempo parts that really throw people off(Easy, One More Summer, and Looking Hot).
I think the problem for them will be finding radio friendly songs. This mish mash of many different genres don't exactly connect with any radio audiences. Settle Down was really their best chance. One More Summer, Looking Hotter or Undone may be their best followup shots. However, nothing really screams radio friendly. It doesn't matter to me personally since this sounds like a good album but everyone(minus hipsters) likes to see artists/music they like succeed.

Would've thrown in Electronic but other than that it's pretty accurate.
