Yes. But it's like being a gay republican. You're supporting an institution that despises who you are at your core.

And the whole goal of most religions is making it to "heaven" or something similar, well, being gay your whole life is a whole lotta sin that you'll never be rid of. So it makes zero sense to me.

But then again, I'm a gay liberal atheist, so I don't have any of those issues.

That's advice for anyone - atheist, agnostic, religious, etc.

It's a personal relationship - there are some great lessons taught in the Bible, and some not so much.

I can agree with this though. There are some excellent lessons in there that you can reflect on but its self proclaimed "followers" make this hard to see. When its put in the hands of those who are using it for their own agenda things get murky. People get lied to and the wrong impression is left. If it stayed something spiritual I'd probably practice myself but it spills into our laws, government and our safety.

The preacher I had growing up were really aggressive. They obviously wouldnt say directly to you "Your going to burn in hell because youre gay" but when that topic came up in church you did feel uncomfortable because no one cared to view it from both sides. It was wrong is gods eyes and that was that.

Also i'm pretty sure Sikhism doesn't have a problem with homosexuality. It's pretty much irrelevant to your faith in that religion i believe
