Eh, I agree. But I think that's the case with every and all fan bases. That's why I think saying "X's fan base is worse than Y's fan base" is silly. Especially since there's always going to be fans bringing a fan base down. But at the same time, there's good people in a fan base. Directioners can be pretty delusional though. They're probably one of the most polarised fan bases, along with the Beliebers and Little Monsters, which is why they're always given the rough end of the stick. It comes with the boys becoming as big as they've become. I agree that their humbleness is what's keeping them up as high as they are, which can't really be said about Justin or Lady Gaga.
I think they really need a sound overhaul for the next album though. Jumping from fun pop-rock to ripping off classic rock and folk-pop isn't exactly the best way to show maturity in your music.
