She slayed Come What May while Jason was delivering pitchy, mediocre vocals. Not even back up singer worthy. He needs to go back to being behind a YouTube video.
Bio
Kelly Brianne Clarkson was born April 24, 1982 in Fort Worth, Texas. The small-town girl from Texas rose to fame during the inaugural season of the hit FOX series American Idol during the summer of 2002. Kelly would go on to win the season one of American Idol, launching what the beginning of what would become a majorly successful career.
Her debut single, "A Moment Like This," would break records on Billboard for the biggest leap ever to number one (from 52-1), a record first established by legendary band The Beatles. Kelly would again break in 2009 when "My Life Would Suck Without You" jumped from #97 to #1.

Not for nothing but Idol absolutely sucked before their live shows, too. I am sure the live shows will help add something to the show and the voting participation. Not saying this will be the next Idol (LOLz) but it will help.
Saw the ratings for "Duets" this week, the show had more viewers this week than last, so that's good, hopefully next week in the live shows we'll have more viewership! And YES that "Duets" had more viewers than Bieber's special!!!
