I love Carla's style, I just don't like how she gives my favorite players (bar Serena) fits . I want her in the top 10 (same for Venus) but I'll be rooting for whoever wins in this match to be in the finals. Petko is already top 10 so she doesn't need the final as much

Throughout the clay season? Serena basically has no points to defend other than a Rome win. So yes she should easily hold it if she goes deep in one of her scheduled tournaments she flopped early in (lost 1st round in Charleston, pulled out of Madrid 2nd roud, won Rome).
If she wins Miami and does well in those two tournaments (she isn't playing Charleston) she should have a lead of at least 2K over the pack going into Roland Garros. Going deep there (she lost 2r last year) and Wimbledon (lost 3rd) should see her with a 4K gap
