i agree, and a true stan should also be able to admit the faults of their favs. I can always admit my disappointment when it comes to Christina or disagree with what shes doing. But if you look around the board, you'll see that most Britney stans are trolls who are on a mission to knock anybody that threatens their idol down. Thats why you always see them in a Xtina thread working overtime. Obviously she poses a huge threat to Britney and the funny thing is, her stans take it so personal. All they can say is that Christina is a flop and that shes irrelevant, but the ironic thing is, shes relevant enough for them to be worried. They are so blinded by their obsession with Britney that everything she does is good and mighty. She can do no wrong.

They need to get some better argument. Xtina being a flop/irrelevant/copycat? Yeah right...
I don't even understand why they take the time to just come on here to talk **** (I know there's some nice Britney/Gaga stans out there though). It's like they don't have a life of their own.

Ironic, Your allways bitching about britney in britney threads i see no diffrence, then editing them down so you don't get reported.

Exactly! A true stan should be honest about their fave, especially when their fave comes up short. It happens... We're all human. It's not right to be plain evil or hateful in the name of your fave, so I don't know why people do so. They're, in effect, misrepresenting their favorite, which can turn some people away.

I agree about a true stan should be able to admit their faves faults....not all artists are always perfect and its a lie to say that everything they do is the ****.
But as a britney stan....i don't hate christina, i really like her, and i love that shes coming out with new music

Thank you £100! That's just as good as I could have put it. "Icon" and "has-been" are applied characteristics that have no real weight or value other than as pure opinion. If we were to do a poll of a sample of the music-listening public in most countries, we might find what people like about Christina and what they like about Britney. I certainly respect Christina more than I do Britney. That doesn't mean I dislike Britney, but each of us is able to admire one person over another.
Alexz, opinions are fine, but when you state an opinion as "fact" that's called fallacious reasoning and holds no ground in an argument/debate. Christina may be a "has-been" to you, but there are probably millions who would disagree with you, and they're entitled to.
