Wait, I forgot to ask for approval.
I would like official approval for the inaugural season of ATRL Scattergories, beginning on New Year's Day as advertised on the previous page.
Quick summary of the game
In Scattergories, players are given a letter and a list of (usually around 10-20) different categories.
For example, the letter could be "C" and the categories could be something like:
- Mode of transportation
- #1 album
- Airline
- Animal
- Chinese city
and so on.
Each player sends in one thing corresponding to each category that starts with the provided letter. As such, my entries for the above categories could be:
- Car
- Crash My Party
- Continental
- Cat
- Chengdu
The object of the game is to submit unique answers- answers that nobody else submits. Traditionally, players receive one point for each unique answer, and zero points for each non-unique answer. The scoring system that I will use is quite similar to this.
I plan to have 26 rounds, one for each letter of the alphabet. The game should last approximately two months, though I'm in no hurry to get it done.
