Radwanska is not that popular in Poland. I mean, people generally dislike her. She's considered vain, selfish and obsessively religious. She's never been chosen the best athlete in the country and even when she was #2 in the world and Wimbledon finalist, I'm not sure she made it to Top5. Polish people love hating other, especially hard-working people + most of them have watched like only one match in their lives. The one from the Olympics when she lost to Goerges in 1st round. They also remember all those fights with her father.
No one seems to be caring that she's like the only tennis player who hasn't moved out to Monte Carlo or Dubai. She lives in Cracow, my city, and pays taxes here.
There are so many tennis fans in Poland though. Remember that Radwanska has been chosen the most popular WTA player like 4 times in a row. Unfortunately the GP does not have many opportunities to watch matches since only Eurosport is showing some tournaments, mostly Grand Slams. We have to watch tennis online.
