I don't come here to get **** on. This isn't a drama or shade game. Let writing be my focus. Yall can shade eachother all you want its soooooo fun to read but I never invited you to do the same to me. I share my inspiration and my work with you, respect it. If you know things mean a lot to me and I'm not enjoying the game and I feel harsh, maybe don't push my buttons.

I have my fun from time to time, and even as much as keshaspears trolls I've found him to be the realest guy here and the only person I feel like I can talk to when I've had a bad day. And I agree sometime the shade and the competition can get a bit overwhelming. I feel like the second I drop out of the top 10 I'm just going to be endlessly dragged and its so exhausting having to be a perfect songwriter all the time

I'm just sitting here laughing at someone who apparently doesn't care for the shade or the drama yet publicly calls people out for being unartistic and uncreative. A Gaga tea.

I was perfectly fine with y'all keeping it in that nice clique but I want no part in any of your ****. Jezang was saying basically the same thing the other day. You can do what you want with people who reciprocate but respect everybody else.
You know exactly how i feel about your song. I praised it endlessly and said you would win. Even posted in the thread about it. I felt like making a fair point in the thread that, of course, creativity should be reflected in the results. It's like how so many people wrote religious songs. Y'all can write amazing religious songs but if theres nothing new or interesting, then how good is it really? I didn't say points should be taken away if you do something more average.

Except you kinda did when I made a harmless comment, after agreeing with you, about my song being very flower-oriented, and you had to shade me and called my song something that wasn't creative and could be used in any round.

We all know how I felt about your entries the 2nd third of last season
It was definitely Huga keeping you alive but I'm glad because at the end I was actually rooting for you no matter how much I dragged some of your entries, but like I always said I only dragged them because I could see the potential in you and was SO angry you failed to realize it. I'm glad you're finally beginning to see that this season

I spoken with Jezang and I agree with his points. He never asked to be brought into the shade side of this tournament and, for the most part, I've respected that (I made one comment about him being bottom three on the averages leaderboard, but he knows that I don't consider that a true representation of his abilities).
The way I see it, don't dish it if you can't take it. You called my song unoriginal and uninspired, so I simply bit back. Nothing I wouldn't do to Connor, TT, EuphorianSea or anyone else who felt like taking a poke at my songwriting abilities.

Yeah and looking back, lyrically at least, they're far from impressive entries and far from being my best, so that's totally understandable. I was just so focussed on the melodies and how it sounded and trying to make some of them pop radio hits that I lost sight of what was really important, the lyrics.

I never said it wasn't creative, I said it could've been more interesting. Many songs about death or losing people are whatever its supposed to be about reference flowers. Do many sex songs reference underwear? Yes. You could so easily come up with that in any round. A love song referencing trees? Definitely more obscure and interesting. Some pictures were harder to write to and I just think certain creative moments should be acclaimed for that. Do you have better lyrics? Maybe. Will you get a better score? Probably.

I'm not even gonna say my song next week is going to be less dark because that's what I said last week and look what happened
I'll just say I'll write whatever I'm inspired to write

What's easy for someone may be hard for someone else and vice versa. All the pictures are easy to some contestants and hard to some others, which is why I let everyone choose (and made 48 sign-up spots instead of 34)
All this challenge was about was to write a song based on the picture. Whether your subject matter was obvious or not is not a factor, especially not in round 3. Whether the picture you chose is considered easy or hard by other contestants is also not a factor. Whether other contestants wrote better or more interesting songs about the same picture is also not a factor.
I'm not taking anyone's side, I'm just clarifying. I haven't read Sam's or pears' entry so I have no idea anyway

Once again it's a song about life. Sure, someone dies, but that's a part of LIFE, which is what the focus of the song is about. I've never even claimed that my song was the most revolutionary thing ever, it's not. There's a lot of relatable and familiar language, which is all intentional, but it's far from unoriginal and uninspired. Ever heard of lovers carving their names into trees? Seen the movie Avatar? Yeah, thought so. Obviously that's not what your song is about but I'm just saying that the connection between trees and love isn't as "obscure and interesting" as you're making it seem. But yeah, it's probably still more unique than my approach. But this challenge never called for the most unique approach. Will you get the extra points for creativity you're obviously wanting? Probably. But it's not like that's a definitive requirement.
