I cannot even imagine. I remember reading Tennessee Williams autobiography (as well as his short stories and plays) and the amount of pain he felt from his losing his lover and him not even being invited to the funeral. Like, that is **** that will destroy a man from his very core.

Some guy was talking about this with me when I went to some gay event here. It was a sad story. He literally said that last little bit too

I can't really ever look at them as weird though, just people that went through very hard **** that most of us can't even comprehend and are still dealing with the aftershock.

But moreover, you do realize stuff like that happens like ten times as often with straights, to the point where it's hardly newsworthy, right? The only reason it's even a major story is that hacky sensationalist news outlets are trying to make Grindr out to be some sort of filthy disease-ridden brothel when it's perfectly fine so long as you use discretion.

I don't believe.

It's so weird that even like 20 years ago most people (in US) didn't like gays, and now most do.
I couldn't have came to reality of being a gay during those times.

I was browsing Netflix and I read the synopsis for A Single Man and just started sobbing. It's something that I never even want to fathom. I can't imagine losing the love of your life and you not even being able to tell anyone.. to just let it burn inside you forever.

Just look it up, the stories are out there Fathers locking their children on their basement and getting them knocked up is the first example of that kind of stuff, huge case in Europe
Quote:
The Fritzl case emerged in April 2008 when a 42-year-old woman, Elisabeth Fritzl (born April 6, 1966), told police in the town of Amstetten, Austria, that she had been held captive for 24 years in a concealed corridor part of the basement area of the large family house by her father, Josef Fritzl (born April 9, 1935), and that Fritzl had physically assaulted, sexually abused, and raped her numerous times during her imprisonment. The abuse by her father resulted in the birth of seven children and one miscarriage; four of the children joined their mother in captivity, and three were raised by Josef and Rosemarie Fritzl and reported as foundlings.

It's important to note tho that a good portion still did. You'd still find teenaged girls clinging to their gay best friends during that time period. It's the middle aged and older crowd that ruined it for us.
This may sound insensitive, but I can't wait for the baby boomer generation to finally die off lol.

There will always be homophobes, and actually the baby boomer legacy will live on their children who will grow like their parents... I'd hope that since it's easier to spread your vision thanks to the Internet many of these trashy people wise up to the facts

Idk. With the exception of like three or four of them they seem pretty likable. I just wish they'd see the truth about Taylor.

I was talking about him saying Grindr can be completely safe.
But OMG girl, my Business Law teacher today was telling us a story about this guy who use to work at his school when he was a kid.
Search 'Lawrence Bottone' on Google, I think. The story is so SICK.
They had a program for African-American / Hispanic kids at the time to learn more afterschool, and a group of kids went to the basement of the place they had to go afterschool and found tapes of the guy. He would pay some of the kids $500-$1000 to be tied up, stripped naked, and beaten on camera and he would keep the tapes and also send them to racial groups like KKK type.
They found the tapes sent them to the news, he only got jail for 4 years then since the only laws he technically broke was hitting children or w/e.
So then he got out, and recently this decade he went back to jail for doing the SAME THING. He would go to public places like Malls and tell kids he was with a Secret Agent Service or w/e and if they wanted to join he'd have to test how they handle certain situations. He did the same thing to them.
He would even stick needles thru some of the victims' fingernails. SO crazy. I was kinda disturbed that whole class period....

Yeah. But even the more conservative people have a "toleration" policy among gay people nowadays. I just want the baby boomers to be gone for a ton of reasons: money wasters, racists, and homophobes and then blame all their problems on us. Plus half of them weren't even good parents and have the audacity to be upset when their kids stick them in retirement communities.

Slay at iTunes Radio playing a bunch of ATRL's fave artists (and Alexandra Stan) on the Katy Perry station!
I still prefer Rdio's Katy Perry station, though. They have more diversity and play some awesome underrated artists as well.

I'm about to jump from this hotel balcony because I listened to a **** ton of Mika tonight and last.fm scrobbler didn't scrobble a good chunk of it, and this is the 2nd time I've experienced it randomly shutting off by itself - plus the Internet is being messy after it's done well for the past few hours. EDIT: False alarm on the second part, or at least for now.
