because some shops already are sending their reports what they sold already. They will send missing data from the last two or three days. They are sending reports from first days.

And the numbers 67% 77% are just something that HDD is writing, they not actually accurate and true.

if they are writing that by 50% some album has 50k sold that doesn't mean that its 100% will be 100k.

The percentages would be the percentage of daily sales numbers (as in, not the actual sales, just the days a store has the album on sale). So, 77% of stores' sale periods have been reported essentially.

Barely any promo? Gurl you need to get the facts straight cause SNL and Carpool Karaoke are the strongest promo slots an artist can get in the release week.

I didn't even remember the album was coming out until I saw someone mention it on here. She definitely didn't promote it until the release week. And promo only does so much anyways.

People need to stop with the shade. These numbers are far better than anyone expected and the current sales climate is terrible.

But it is not just a pop album from a pop girl. It is the album from THE Lady Gaga-someone who was the biggest thing on planet few years ago and whose second(or third) album sold more than a 1M first week.
This is bad and unimpressive for someone like lady gaga. It would be good for say ariana grande, selena ... but none of them combined were as big as lady gaga once was.

Ting is she has declined so much that many expected total flop so that makes this numbers look good.
Also, I wonder the impact amazon discount has had on the sales.

I can't at Gaga being a fad one day then THE Lady Gaga once they need to shade her

This is the second biggest debut by a female artist this year (only behind THE Beyoncé) so I think the numbers are indeed pretty good.
