Good update on urban, small update on rhythmic.

Single #2 needs to be saved until Body Party peaks, which probably won't happen for another month since big stations are just now starting to really play it.

Spins wise it's solid but it's gaining in AI which is important.

Idk, maybe she could have two urban songs rising at once and release another strictly to pop stations. If she and Epic really push it, it's possible.

I don't think she should do that. That would kill Body Party and a "pop" single should be saved until after the album is released. A crossover (I'm Out) needs to be the next single after Body Party peaks.

Ciara is in a more tricky situation then what a lot of you realise. In a way they kinda shot themselves in the foot with BP.. If they continue to wait like they are, they could seriously risk losing everything they've somewhat regained, however if they move onto the second single too soon, and it doesn't reach/better BP peak again they could lose everything and maybe more..

I really strongly believe the best option right now is PROMO. It will continue to cement the fact Cici is back, while also capitalising on the success BP has had so far. Then wait for the second single a week before albums release. That way there is a steady flow of promo for the album and then after its release, release that POP single (namely Overdose) and promote the **** out of it... A 4th single could be released if they really wanted to...

That, id say is the best option. Then move onto album 6, a year later.

What y'all dont get is they are most likely arranging things out to where the next single will out do "Body Party". I see them doing like one of those radio deals a month before the album comes out for the next single. She will perform it at the BET Awards hopefully. She has been rehearsing choreo for the next single already.

Body Party was for her CORE. Mid tempo sexy urban song. It was a perfect re-introduction single. Like Usher always has as first singles.

Umm I don't see why she can't have two urban singles out at once? Other urban artist have been successful(on radio) with two singles out. If anything that would build relevency... And why is everyone ASSUMING "I'm Out" is this huge crossover? B/c Nicki is on It? One thing I will agree on is that she have a radio deal for the next release and for overdose to be released after the album drops!

she might not even need a radio deal..... Ciara just need to make sure her releases are consistently strong!! and no more droping the ball with mediocre single choices like she did for BI and FR. I'm also for Future writing a few hooks for her to be on other artist singles!

Just because "Body Party" is successful doesn't mean Ciara has regained her core fanbase.. Im not sure if most of you realize but the best thing that's happend to Ci for her relevency as far as Urban Radio is concerned is Future tbh ... Body Party just happens to be a Strong single released at the perfect time, with the perfect video!! ... and lets not act like that whole deal with Rihanna didn't help the success of this single from the beginning!!

A radio deal would def. be in her best interest, especially if the next single is Pop/Crossover because she hasn't been present in that world of radio for ages.

I doubt she'll be doing much promo in May, they seem to be doing work behind the scenes right now. Prepping for the next single and probably doing magazine shoots and stuff. I know that's how it is with Rih. We get frustrated thinking she's not doing much, then a month later we see all she was doing.

June seems to be when they'll be hitting the promo pavement hard. As long as they keep the promotion for both the album and the single(s) throughout June/July steady, she'll be in good shape. I see a lot of people fearing "BP" will die out or whatever, but honestly, it's already done its job. It scored her the first top 40 hit she's had in 4 years and it's definitely gotten urban America back to talking about and interested in her. Everything else that happens with "BP" will only further cement the song as a success and help if get certified at least Gold.

She and Future have definitely been helping each other out. She's been introducing him to mainstream America, and he's been helping urban America warm back up to her. Them playing up their relationship was super smart of them, or their teams. whatever. It worked.

death! at the Rihanna portion. She did bring loads of relevancy to Ciara/The song, and CiCi capitalized off of it like any smart person would, but the song itself is what saved her. It's a solid record.
