What's the purpose of performing there (press will be at the event too), as well as this big NBA show and other upcoming events if it's not to promote?

It's not televised but still a great platform for a 1st performance since journalists / press / medias will attend.

I know she didn't perform any new song at The Concert For Valor & Diamond Ball but the 1st one was a tribute concert & the 2nd one was a charity concert. While these upcoming concerts are supposed to be some opportunities to promote.
