Excuse me, but that could be a very cute idea--the judge looks at the songwriter's back catalogue and assigns them one song they want them to rewrite. Rewriting/editing your weaker songs is an important skill too and it's worked well in past seasons. (But we can just do it next season if you don't like the idea.)
