Gaga should've forced her way into performing the National Anthem at the Super Bowl. I just watched her performance for the first time in awhile and WOW I forgot how amazing it was (and also how ridiculous her lips looked last summer nnnnn)
This comment on the video though

Best vocal but worst gay version ever! Thanks a lot lesbo! You'll never be my role model. You'll just stay the villain of lust princess. Still bought her new album. Will it be her last?

I completely disagree. roar is a safe and boring catchy pop song, there are countless other songs with the same exact message and delivery. she brought literally nothing new to the table. applause took somewhat of a risk with those lyrics and weird vocals, but I'll take that over a song that has been made a dozen times before

Can someone add "creator of memes (of herself), child psychiatrist, counsellor, site moderator, hall monitor" to that list of 'Occupations'?
And can someone please replace that uglee picture?

Sorry to butt in...
"Roar" was actually a pretty good song. The lyrics, I agree, are very bland and cliche, but the production is amazing. The drums, synths, guitar remind me more of "We are young" than Brave, actually. The way it starts slow and smooth and then build up to huge chorus. It became successful because it's catchy and it's a song that even straight people can sing to. "Applause" is a nice pop song from Gaga, but the lyrics are tacky as they are pretentious. It's a self-celebratory song by Gaga for Gaga that only managed to gain audience among those who supported her Fame music.
DWUW is a great song by Gaga, but it had a couple of problems: 1. the R. Kelly feature in a song about doing whatever on your body, 2. this is Gaga's first venture into a genre other than dance music, 3. It doesn't have a great hook. Dark Horse, on the other hand, appeals to both men and women, has a great catchy trap beat, and a huge chorus.
I don't understand your last question because she just had 5 back to back massive number ones from Teenage Dream.

You and I is not dance music, and there are quite a few other songs where her songs are not dance music but Dark Horse sucks. That's just my opinion and it'll continue on that way. Roar is cute but again boring and predictable by none other than Katy perry. But y'all we are getting beside ourselves, this thread isn't Lady Gaga VS Songs that we wish didn't smash.
