So what exactly changed between eras because radio is not here for Adam at all and its puzzling. The material is much stronger, I do think the Idol thing does affect him, actually. Even WWFM took some time to take off, but RCA pushed and worked that song, it wasn't an immediate hit, but it did have stations like Z100 adding right away. But I thought that RCA was investing in radio for this single, much more then BTIKM. He visited and performed for a million radio stations in Feb/March leading up to launching NCOE, he played the payola shows, the jingle balls, the spring flings. Perhaps it wasn't the best idea to sent to song to radio 2 weeks after the album was released. I don't know if the song is dead yet, but I would be/would have been happy if this single did as well as IIHY at this point.
I read this quote from the VP of marketing from Epic and he said Adam puts out great pop records, and then thought what would happen if Adam's label had a good radio team that pushed his singles to radio, because they do invest in the videos and then little for radio.

No delusions because it trips me out to think about the Queen thing. They are one of the most legendary rock bands of all time and lets not forget their flawless singer Freddie Mercury, but they could have asked anyone to sing for them. Anyone that is more established then Adam, or they could have stayed at home counting their money, but they wanted to go on tour again and with Adam. I stan his talent, cause how can you not.
I really don't think RCA pushed for these songs as much as they should have. To be fair NCOE sounds pretty bad live, or at least the arrangement.
He got to meet will.i.am too, even though he met Fergie back during the Idol finale so maybe he had met will.i.am before.
at the very least, it can't hurt.
