I'm playing Sims 3 again What are extensions though? Like are they totally different games you can pick from the main menu? Or are they all incorporated into the Sims 3 gameplay? Like can I still use my custom made characters in riverview with these extensions?

Yea once you buy an expansion you'll have new content and gameplay
