I wish she would have just released a double-disc album like Christina with Back To Basics. She could've gone the route she mentioned in one of those "Ask Hilary" vids she did during the Dignity tour. She mentioned she wanted to make an acoustic/pop album.

She really needs some form of management to clear these things up cause it doesn't reflect well on her or the fans when we continuously announce that she will be present at award shows on Twitter. Andre should dispel these kind of things.

Precisely. Her team can't keep acting like this is 2004 where they rely on her name, that isn't going to cut it anymore. KCAS aren't really a big deal but with that said it is still an award show and there would have been press, and the fans were excited to see her go. At least with macy's parade we had some kind of warning.

It just doesn't look well on Hilary or us for that matter. We may never know why she didn't show.

I agree. Plus, she could have really used this awards show to plug both Younger and Sparks, and especially Younger since that was the main reason she was attending. TV Land even showed the KCAs tonight because they are a part of the Viacom company with Nick and because Hilary was attending, this is very strange and unprofessional.

at you using my comments from the Hilary News Facebook conversation in here, yes! But, really it's the truth. Hilary and her team should have used the mistakes made with CTS and AAY and leave no stone untouched when it comes to promotion, they have no excuses this time, they cannot blame Younger's filming anymore, so play time is over.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one disappointed. It's not about the KCAs, it's about her not showing up for us and proving she still wants to make her comeback successful.

I understand that she was sort of was exploited during her teen years but she needs to understand she will never achieve the success she's had in the past if she doesn't milk every single occasion to promote, promote, promote

I can't believe that's the same woman who inspired me to work hard to achieve my dreams. She doesn't anymore, she seems lazier ever since she got with Mike tbh and that is not a good look at all. It's like there's a Hilary pre-2008 and another post-2008...

I know I am probably making a big deal out of this and there are far more important things in the world (like my marketing final on Monday ) but we deserve more as fans who are still rooting for her after all these years... We're not just fans tweeting about how she looks good or is the perfect Disney girl. We're the ones INVESTING our money, buying her movies, music, novels, fragrances, etc. If there's nothing in return, it's not interesting anymore.

He won't. Last year he almost exclusively only replied to R5 fans and he said "soon" twice for us. For the most part he only ever tweets about Hilary after she has already tweeted a new single is coming.

It's extremely unprofessional. It's not like it was just a rumor that she was gonna attend, it was announced in a press release and everything. She could've even tweeted about it like she did for the Macy's parade.

Yeah, I agree with Stepfon that it makes no sense why she didn't attend, considering it would've been to promote Younger. + the fact that the KCAs were simulcast on TVLand too

Honestly, it's all Hilary's fault. We can't blame Andre, because he has R5 booked for almost every award show. She just doesn't like attending them. Let's also not forget her bailing on The VMA's and going to the farmer's market instead, when she had a single to promote. I'm just gonna calm down now and see if they're gonna **** things up again when the single comes out.

The KCAs appearance was booked by tvland and they chosed Hilary to promote Younger since she's the most popular one. Her name was present in all the press releases and in some article they even put her in first or second position.

We used to blame her team for not booking award shows and TV appearances for her but this time its clearly not the case.
Andre can't force her to go it's her decision. I actually remember when Hilary used to criticize him during her Elixir book tours several times saying that she fired him because he was putting so much pressure on her and he was always asking her to work. Recently she confirmed it but using nicer words saying that he kept calling her during her loooong break to ask her if she wants to work on music again but she was always refusing.

So at the his point I think things became clearer, Hilary is the first responsible of this situation ! She's having a very unprofessional and lazy behavior since 2008. If it was Andre's fault she would've hired someone else but no she hired him again just because he knows how things work with her and he somehow gives her more space than any other manager would do not because he's incompetent but because he knows if he puts pressure on her she'll fire him again...

The only thing that still confuses me is that she doesn't seem to care about her career at all but at the same time she wants us to buy her songs and she wants to be successful... She even said that she's capable of selling an other 15M records ! Seriously ?! LOL

I can't speak for everyone else but I wasn't blaming Andre for Hilary not showing up. However, like I said, he does need to be more in tune with the media press releases and shutting them down if his client is not going to show.

Now that you've brought it up, I do remember Hilary complaining about Andre overworking her. It's strange, she has such a different work ethic now. One of the things I used to love about her was how hard she worked. I feel bad for Andre in some ways because he must live in fear of being fired if asking H to do more promotion is such a problem for Hilary. I hope she really does promote Sparks well because 2 or 3 promo slots isn't going to cut it.
