Beyoncé has been working hard not to gain too much weight during her pregnancy and shared her secrets to keeping fit as she expects her first child with Jay-Z.
Before getting pregnant Bey says she would do the Single Ladies dance to keep fit but now, “I’ve been trying to walk for 30 minutes a day,” she reveals to InStyle UK in the January 2012 issue.
“A good playlist is key. I listen to Jay-Z’s records when I work out. They make me feel really gangsta.”
She also reveals she’s been watching what she eats. I snack on cucumbers, avocados and tomatoes, she says. “If I need something crunchy I opt for pecans. I coat them in cinnamon and maple syrup instead of sugar granules, but just a little of each so it’s not unhealthy.”
But don’t let Bey’s healthy diet fool you. She does occasionally indulge like the rest of us.
“I give myself moments where I can indulge in whatever I want. Then I try to reel it in. I love French fries – they’re my biggest weakness.”
“Anything in life that is worth having takes hard work,” she adds. “There are no secrets.”
