They used a picture of her on their shirt which is technically legal in the UK cause artist don't own their "image" but Rihanna said it was "misrepresentation" and made the Navy believed it's endorsed by her which is illegal. Therefore she sued for $5M and she won in 2013 but Topshop appealed and now she officially won.
She only sued cause of River Island tho.
Cause she use to have dinners and all with Topshop owner and his daughter.
She technically won in 2013 but they appealed the rulings but now she has officially won and snatched $5M. She spent over $2M on the lawsuit (guessing since in 2013 the figure was $1.4M on legal bills). It's the first time a celebrity won a lawsuit of this kind in the UK. ICON ha power.
