Speaking of Taylor, I still don't think her doing a Pop album is a smart idea. Pop radio is fickle as hell, did she forget how they paid her dust in the Speak Now era?

It might make her a bit more global but I think if she abandons Country radio completely it'll damage her career a lot.

She needs to just do what Shania did, one country CD and one Pop, that way she can get her Diamond album as well if it goes 5x Platinum.

I don't know that it's the most judicious decision either, but I do think she's just making the music she really wants to and can't wrong her for that.

Am pretty sure the average gross was better for BTWB. The MB grossed so much primarily because she did so many dates.

I don't think Marina really sold out, I think her label pushed her into working with Luke and she tried to pass it off as some sort of ironic artistic statement rather than just admitting that she was being forced to work with him.

Also One of the Boys is trash. Katy's albums have only gotten better over time, though the base she's building upon is pretty low.

Because they combine TFB and TMB, it's hard to tell. I know the average gross was likely better though. Also, several WAY bigger venues.
