Her next era will probably be to 1989 what Speak Now was to Fearless commercially.
No, it will sell 2 mil first week
For real tho, I thought Dead was gonna be her peak commercially, and she just blew all of it out of the water with 19GR89. Whenever we think she will peak, she continues to top herself
Well even though 1989 has propelled her to the top of the charts, the fact that sales are now -officially- dead just kinda shows that her decline will be next era. Even if she opens with more than 1989, which already seems impossible, there's no way she could sell 8M+ worldwide -again.- I'd be fine with 3.5M US (it'd ruin her 4x plat streak ) and 2.5M foreign.

It ended up being Her worst selling album in the States. Poor that.
1989 is def the peak of her songwriting ability, barely no cliché, no complicated word and full of metaphores.
The perfect written songs from her albums :
1989 : clean, blank space, style, i know places, this love...etc well there s no cringey song on 1989 (like Stay Stay Stay or better then revenge) so overall I d say it s her best written album, along with the debut (ofc you need to take in perspective that the debut is a country album written by a 16 y o girl)
but Red and Speak Now have her peak in a song : treacherous and last kiss

I honestly don't think she'll stay in pop as long as some think. I really think she'll be back to country-pop by LP8. I can see her making a traditional country album for LP10.
Two headlights shine through the sleepless night, and I will get you alone. Your name has echoed through my mind, and I just think you should know... That nothing safe is worth the drive and I will follow you home.
