SONG 09 - "X" by f(x) (Legend E)
This is really kind of an unexpected choice for me
. While I'd expect somebody to submit f(x), I wouldn't expect it to be this, but I kinda like that. They have a lot more popular options and more generic options, but this more so stands out. In terms of their discography, it's a good song, with various better options, but a lot worse also. The good thing about this song, is that it's a lot more subtle and a laid back song. It'd be kind of hard to get sick of, and therefore has a lot of replay value. While not their strongest individual song, it's a really interesting choice and was quite nice to see here so well done.
SONG 10 - "Playground" by Oh My Girl (Remmy)
Oh my god, WHY? Oh My Girl have so many better songs, I really don't understand WHY you would want to submit this and what would even possess you to do so
Granted the song is cute, yes, but is it good or impressive enough to warrant submitting it? No! Not at all. I don't even know what you were trying to go for
SONG 11 - "MTBD" by 2NE1 (-mUsIcLoVeR-)
Okay here's a very generic choice - I would assume you probably have little knowledge about kpop, or if you do, just awful taste. 2NE1 in general lack strong album tracks so they're kind of an odd choice, but there are a few songs that you could've submitted from CRUSH instead of this which would've been better. MTBD, at this point, is stale. Although it has some redeeming points, this is the kind of song you listen to when you first are getting into kpop and before you find the actual good stuff.
SONG 12 - "Whalien 52" by BTS (thecptz)
Nnnnn this is such a good choice. I don't know if you decided upon it yourself, or found from my posts that I love this song, but I do. Everything about this song is so great and original and I hope whatever people listened to the submissions were shocked, because it's not really what you'd expect from kpop. Also, submitting a boy group is something I like, since a lot of people went for the generic 2NE1 and SNSD options. I could listen to this song forever
it's so light and chill, but the production is also really interesting and so complimentary. So great!
SONG 13 - "Trick" by Girls' Generation (Fidel)
The verses for Trick are okay, but the chorus is SO awful. So this falls in a weird place where I don't know whether to hate it or like it, so it's somewhere in the middle from that point. SNSD, in general, aren't known for having strong album tracks. Or, in our modern day, strong anything.
SONG 14 - "Hot Summer Nights" by Oh My Girl (Loveyoubxtch)
In terms of this vs. the other Oh My Girl song submitted, this one is better. But again - they have SO many better songs. Their first two mini albums don't have particularly strong album tracks but literally ANYTHING from Pink Ocean would've been better
SONG 15 - "Ma City" by BTS (Bloomers)
In terms of this vs. the other BTS song submitted, this one is worse
BUT, this is totally better than a lot of the other songs that were submitted so it doesn't really matter much. I do see people generally praising this song but I think they have a lot of better things to offer in their discography (which is one of the strongest for any boy group), although the pre-chorus is fire.
SONG 16 - "Romantic St" by Girls' Generation (Dante)
Nnnnn I feel like this was quite shamelessly picked just because I had made a post about it, but that doesn't really matter at all. This is of course MUCH better than the other SNSD song somebody else sent in. This is really one of my favourite kpop ballads, it's different than a lot which are more so power ballads - this is such a laid back, cute and breezy songs that just makes me feel warm inside! So, well done on looking at my posts I guess
