Critiques? Lol. Perhaps I should've said it reminded me of Americano (especially in the intro + verses), mixed with a bit of EDM. And btw, I love Americano so that's not a bad thing.
I was expecting something a bit more generic I think. Iirc, Gaga said BTW was a bit of a test album, in which she was experimenting with different sounds. Don't quote me on that however, as I'm not a die-hard Gaga fan so I don't know everything. I expected songs like Poker Face or Just Dance or whatever.
About the chorus, it's just personal matter I guess. In my opinion it would be better if it was a little bit longer.
And another thing, stop with bashing everybody who doesn't think this song is the most amazing song ever recorded in history. It's like there isn't even room for critiques or something.
maybe she just isn't the artist for you anymore. Its clear that shes done and over with tf/tfm and I think people need to get over it. Its not market savy for any artist to regress in their sound. Poker face and just dance were 2008. It is now 2013 almost 2014. Clearly shes gone through some changes.
Only the greats progress in their sound and image.
