I know. Obviously digital sales couldn't measure impact 5-10 years ago when they were hardly even relevant to the charts. I'm saying in today's music market, they do equate into how impactful a song is. Only today's market, & the not the past, like the early 00s & so on. Toxic is one of the most impactful pop songs of all time.

Also, some of you Ke$ha fans are working my nerve, damn the Rihanna stans were ore accommodating than this.

Lil miss predictions, I'm the only Ke$ha Stan in here & all I said was that Hot N Cold will be remebered more than Hold It Against Me which is obvious.
And Alejandro had the least amount of impact out of GaGas singles. Single Ladies was massive.

Serious. People sing that song ALL THE TIME. And I specially notice it because my name is Alejandro and when I tell them that you start hearing the masses chanting Ale-Alejandro. It's kinda disturbing but it is what it is.

I think so. It feels like one of those singles that was successful and catchy at one point, but gets lost in the shuffle 10-20 years down the line.

Eh, I wouldn't necessarily say sales equate impact. Yes it does have a large hand, but would you say any of Jay Sean's, Taio Cruz's, Jason Derulo's singles would be remembered in 2020?

Do you know what "here" he is talking about? He might not be in the US.. and not every country will remember songs the same way. Just saying, he might not be in the US... Idunno

LoveGame is pretty much forgotten, although it'll always be my favourite by her.

There are always exceptions, but they're rare. Dirtty is one of those songs no one got while it was actually trying to be a hit, but over the years it built up into something bigger than anyone ever anticipated. Now it's arguably her most remembered song.
Plus, it did have an iconic, amazing video, like Toxic.

It pretty much already is forgotten. I think out of all of Gaga's singles so far, the ones that will be remembered easily will be "Just Dance," "Poker Face," "Paparazzi," "Bad Romance," "Telephone" (if only for the video), and "Born This Way." Too early to call for "Judas" yet.

LG was a for-the-moment single. It was popular when it was released, but it's definitely forgotten now. Anything from TF era is always summed up with either Paparazzi or JD, and sometimes PF, but never LG.

That's not what I meant by equate. I meant sales play a significant part in impact, but of course they don't paint the entire picture. Taio Cruz's Dynamite made a huge impact, at least.
My point is, you are going to find more impactful songs in the 4-6 million seller group than the 2-3 million selling group.

No, actually he's right. Beyonce is nobody in Latin America outside Brazil, while all GaGa singles have been HUGE here
For example the only video they put in MTVLA from the IA..SF era was Sweet Dreams
