You become a bad sport when you blow up people's personal vehicles and you pay them a certain amount that range from $87 - $12,500. Sometimes if you overdo it, you'll be put into a Bad Sport server and you'll have a cone hat that says, 'bad spot' on it (mess).
It's so stupid because you're still able to shoot people for hours and not considered a 'bad sport', you can just be kicked from that server and moved onto another.
Plus, being a good sport only results in $1,000, though, I think they've bumped that up to $2,000 now.
