more than 5 million views. And although radio chart figures won’t be announced until the week of September 24, 2012, “Live While We’re Young” is expected to debut high on many radio charts around the world, since numerous radio stations have immediately put the song in heavy rotation. Some stations were playing “Live While We’re Young” every hour in the first day of the song’s radio release.
Meanwhile, although Sony Music doesn’t publicly release pre-order sales figures, a source at Sony Music confirms that pre-orders for “Live While We’re Young” have increased significantly since the song and video have premiered. “Live While You’re Young” was already the biggest pre-ordered song in Sony Music history (reaching No. 1 in pre-orders in 50 countries), even before the song premiered on the radio.
“Live While We’re Young” is expected to debut at No. 1 in several countries. The song goes on sale in the U.S. and Canada on October 1, 2012, and in other countries on September 30, 2012.
“Live While We’re Young” is the first single from One Direction’s second album, “Take Me Home.” The album is scheduled for release in the U.S. and Canada on November 13, 2012, and in other countries on November 12, 2012.
