& This Love, I Wish You Would, New Romantics, Wildest Dreams, Style & Blank Space all have great lyrics in my opinion. There are really just like 4 songs subpar to her usual stuff

I think she sacrificed song writing ability for pop production.

I would say "This Love" has some pretty good lyrics. "Blank Space" and "Style" are also very well written, and "Wildest Dreams" and "Wonderland" have some pretty great lines too.

1989's lyrics are just more refined as WayTooHonest13 already said; she says about the same with a lot less, and more is left to the listener to interpret. Also, production speaks in ways it hasn't before (see: Style, Bad Blood, Blank Space).

This Love has great verses but the chorus is pretty tragic.. "This love is good, this love is bad." There's no depth to that statement. It's a little lazy.. But I'm not bashing Taylor I love her and I love 1989.
